Wednesday we had the activity at the mission home for all the Sisters serving here in Manaus. I've been working hard on many aspects of the meeting, and it turned out so great!!! I was so relieved. The purpose of our activity was to help the Sisters have more self confidence, remember they are daughters of God and to actually get all done up for a day :) When you are serving in Manaus it is difficult to use makeup and do your hair because you just sweat 24/7. Soooo long story short you always feel gross. hahaha!
Each Sister brought clothes they don´t want/are to small and traded, got all done up and then we did like a runway type thing and ate Açai while listening to President give an awesome talk. Afterwards I had many people say thank you, because they really needed a day to just relax and remember who they really are.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday were probably the hardest days of my mission... ALL OF OUR APPOINTMENTS FELL THROUGH and it was sooo hot. My companion and I literally were just walking and contacting for four days straight. The young man that was suppossed to be baptized disappeared. However, after much fasting and praying, The Lord sent an investigator that is soooo elect!!
His name is Cavalete and his been going to church off and on since April. I literally thought he was a strong, active member because he is always at church. He showed up at the member´s home where we were eating lunch and asked for a Book of Mormon and more information. He testified that he already knows this church is true and wants to be baptized next Sunday!!!! He was just waiting for the right time. I literally couldn´t believe it. I had been praying and fasting for our other investigators not even thinking about Cavalete, BUT the Lord showed me who is actually prepared.
I am so grateful the Lord always knows better. When we do our part.. He does His :)
PS THIS WEEK MARKS ONE YEAR SINCE I LEFT FOR MY MISSION?! WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love yáll with all my hear <3
