This week was good!! I am continuing to learn and learn and learn Portuguese. That is about all we do haha. We did get to watch the funeral of Richard G. Scott which was really cool, and then the next day we watched the last devotional Elder Scott gave to missionaries at the Provo MTC in September 2014. It was amazing and excatly what I needed to hear this week!!!! Also at the temple this morning I was in the later session so my companions and I went down to work in the
laundry area until it was time. Well, I was trying to talk to the temple workers and one of them told me that I speak REALLY well for only being here two weeks! It made my life!!!! It was the best
compliment ever! We teach two lessons a day to investigators. I have gotten so much better at teaching this week. I have a long way to go but at least I can get the message across haha. I am enjoying everyday here at the CTM because I get food, AC, and I get to sit down all day.
I know that things are going to be a lot different in Manaus so I am just trying to enjoy things while they last... Especially the air conditioning. Our Brazil roommates left this week :( I loved them so
much!!!! They taught me so much especially about the culture here in Brazil. Brazilians are much more touchy and they really show their feelings which is different from me haha. They would always hug me or kiss me on the check. It is crazy how you become so close to people in just a few weeks. The Lord really helps his missionaries see others through His eyes. I have been studying an attribute of Christ everyday here in the CTM. IT HAS BEEN AMAZING!! My love for my Savior has already grown so much. I challenge you all to just pick an attribute (humility, charity and love, obedience, diligence, etc) and study it!!! Like in depth. I am so grateful for a Savior that knows EXACTLY how I feel. Also read 3 Nephi chapters 11-19. It is so humbling to study the Savior during these chapters. I do not have too much else to report expect my district is absolutely crazy and amazing. Lets just
say that one day in the classroom, one of the Elders tried to back roll while still sitting in his chair... Yeah... he landed straight on his head. And then proceeded to try again five more times. You never
really know what is going to happen in our classroom with a bunch of crazy missionareis, but I love them!!! Have an amazing week :) I love you all so much!!! Love, Sister Bailey
Sister Bailey with her two companions. Don't they look so happy?!?! I LOVE it!!
This is the only picture I've gotten since she's been in the CTM. It was taken at Mr. Cheney's Cookies, a store across the street from the CTM. The nice shop owner sent it to me. Morgan is not allowed to take her camera outside of the CTM right now, but we'll get plenty of pictures once she travels to Manaus (end of October).
