Soo my companion, Sister Creel, turned 20 on Thursday!! Sister Westbroek and I woke early and decorated the apartment then ran to the bakery and bought her Pão de queijo (her favorite)! Mom... I made that cake you sent and it turned out so terrible!!! I have no idea what I did wrong but it just tasted like nasty Brazilian butter. It made for a cute picture, but we ended having to throw it out hahahah!! Friday marked ONE YEAR as a missionary!!!!!!!! WHAT?? It is so weird to think that I am starting to repeat the same months and in just 5 1/2 months I will be home again. I am so sad at how fast time is going. I still have so much to learn and so many people to help.
Sunday night we got a sad call from President that Sister Westbroek was going to be emergency transferred, as she was needed somewhere else in the mission. She is like my best friend on the mission and became very close fast friends. Though we weren´t companions and only lived in the same apartment it was hard. Now I am in a trio with Sister Creel and Sister Pereira... Pereira is going home Monday so it is REAL hard to focus haha. Out of the blue when we are walking she´ll just scream or say, ``in one week I will be home!!!`` We just give her the death look and then continue on hahaha.
Two of our investigators are getting married on Saturday!!! We have two baptisms Thursday and SIX marked for SUNDAY!!!! I am sooo excited!! Yesterday when we were walking to an appointment I heard someone screaming, ``sisters sister!!!`` I looked back and saw some lady running after us. She told us that her friend wants to be baptized THIS WEEK. She lives in our area, her brother is on a mission right now, and she has already received all the lessons!! When we called her she said she couldn´t even wait to be baptized until Saturday. Luckily we already have another man being baptized Thursday and so everything worked out perfectly! Miracles are real!!!!
Funny story of the week: our recent convert dropped us off Friday night and when Sister Pereira got out of the car her skirt in the back got all caught up in her bag. Sis Creel and I didn´t notice because we got out of the car first. It was only after our recent convert drove away that she noticed the whole back of her skirt was tucked into the strap of her bag!!! We literally laughed for hours. Oh the awkward moments here as a missionary!!!
I love y'all!!!!!!!! Keep the commandments, don´t slack off, and be happy :)
