Wow what an incredible week that I will never forget. Like I said last week, we have been teaching an incredible couple, I and M. They were so prepared by the Lord to accept the gospel....it is unreal. Several of their friends were trying to convince them that the LDS church is crazy and what not, but instead of listening to the rumors they invited their friends to hear our message and they bore testimony of The Book of Mormon!!! When we were teaching them on Friday I asked Isak if he could say the closing prayer. Normally we pray on our knees but my companion and I forgot...we just folded our arms and bowed our head. M then looked around and said, ´´Umm are we not going to pray on our knees??`` Wow they were even correcting US!! I have a love that is out of this world for them. On Sunday at the baptism the enemy was working REAL hard so that the Spirit wouldn´t be there. The children were running and screaming, the person conducting was making jokes, etc. However, when they entered the waters of baptism my heart began to swell. That is exactly why I left my family, my friends, the comfort of my home, my studies, Instagram, sleeping in, cold weather, and everything else. Because like Alma said in Alma 26:30 `` And we have suffered all manner of afflictions, and all this that perhaps we might be the means of saving some soul; and we supposed that our joy would be full if perhaps we could be the means of saving some.``
There is no greater joy than helping others come unto to Christ. It is all worth it in the end. On another note... I had the opportunity to go on splits in my first area, Noeal Nutells!! It was so great to visit the members that I loved sooo much. I am so close with the Bishop´s wife there. She made me a cake and cried when I had to say bye again. I am SO grateful for the MANY families that have taken care of me here. Like I promised many that I would bring them the gospel.... I know that these families promised to help me here when I am sooo far away from home :) The Lord is so wonderful. I love my Savior and know He lives. A mission is the hardest thing everrrrrrrrrrrrr, but I love it. Thank you for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime! OH AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YÁLL SO MUCH!!!!! XOXO, Sister Bailey

Wow! Yesterday was my one year and one month mark!!! Where is time going? People here are already starting to put Christmas decorations up because Halloween and Thanksgiving don´t exist. Haha!
This week was full of splits with the Sisters that we take care of. I got to go on a division to the wealthiest part of Manaus, Ponta Negra (where the temple is). We ate a members home there, and I was so weirded out because the house had AC and they had just gotten back from a trip to the USA. SOOO they gave me a bunch of Butterfingers and Reeses!! It was the best day :) Then on Friday I got to do splits with a greenie!! She has been in the field for 2 weeks! It made me remember how it was a year ago. However, I loved it because it made me think back to that motivated spirit that new missionaries have. Everyone arrives in the field with so much energy wanting to change the world. She really helped me remember to keep pushing forward. My companion, Sister Garcia and I are the best of friends. I feel like I have known her for sooo long. On Sunday in Sacrament meeting I was feeling a little down. Sister Garcia tapped me on the shoulder and passed me a note... when I opened it she had written just some things to make me laugh and some encouragement. It´s like we have companion telepathy hahaha. I am really hoping I stay with her another transfer!! This week we are going to baptize two families!!! One is the family that got married awhile back. They finally got back from traveling. And the other family is Isael´s brother. He and his wife know the church is true and have had many confirmations and cool experiences that I will tell when I get home. It is going to be the most incredible week! When I was interviewed by my Stake President before my mission he said that there was a family here waiting for me... I have spent my whole mission searching for this family and let´s just say that I have no doubt it is them! It is going to be so special. I love you guys more than y'all know <3 Have a great week!!!! XOXOXO, Sister Bailey This sister in our ward made us a YUMMY dessert! We've been very busy, and I don't have much time to write today. Know that I love you all!!!!
